A day out from Ubud
It was wet. It was fun. It potentially was rather expensive, but most of all: It was brilliant.

We stopped off to see tiered rice terraces, rapids, waving farmers going about their days work, a waterfall, temples, and greenery as far as the eye can see, even in a drought.
As we crossed the open water Bali began to disappear behind us and Lombok’s mountainous coastline started to make itself known. Three distinct specks showed floating in the ocean and gradually morphed into sandy havens adorned with palm trees and ringed with dozens of small boats.
